But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one
who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a
person is double-minded and unstable in all they do (James 1:6-8 NIV)
The Words told us to be sincere in what we ask for, to be able to receive our plea, but if we are double minded like a wave in the sea, the Word said, we can not receive anything, we should believe without doubt to what God can do.
there is no impossible with Him, if we really ask with a humble heart.
Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife
Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge
he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put
it at the apostles’ feet.
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that
Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and
have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold,
wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a
thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” When Ananias
heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard
what had happened.
Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his
body, and carried him out and buried him.
About three hours later his
wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me,
is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?” “Yes,” she said,
“that is the price.” Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test
the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your
husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” At that
moment she fell down at his feet and died.
Then the young men came in
and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her
husband.
Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about
these events. (New International Version 2011 Acts 5:1-11)
This verse has set us, as an example that lying is a sin, even its a
white lie according to the other, but its still a sin. We will not die
immediately but what about the trust of others it will die if they know
you lied to them.
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You
hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will
see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Matthew 7:1-5 NIV)
My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus
Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting
wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old
clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man
wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to
the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have
you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil
thoughts?
Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who
are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the
kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the
poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones
who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are
blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your
neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. But if you show
favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For
whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty
of breaking all of it. For he who said, “You shall not commit
adultery,” also said, “You shall not murder.” If you do not commit
adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that
gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone
who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:1-13
NIV)
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to
have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a
brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you
says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing
about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith
by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my
deeds.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons
believe that—and shudder.
You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds
is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what
he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his
faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made
complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says,
“Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and
he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered
righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered
righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent
them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is
dead, so faith without deed is dead (James 2:14-26)
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do
not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (New International Version 2011 Galatians 5:1)
Some people are under bondage of something in this world, they hardly
can't get out of it, but the bible say, Christ come to set us free, we
have Christ to save us, if we just let Him save us.
